Cuba 1

November saw us in Cuba which had been a place that had been on Richards bucket list for some time. However due to us both catching a nasty flu our  visit there wasn't what we expected and what we saw was somewhat limited but then we were grateful to see the little that we did, so small compensations!!
The memories we look back on now are narrowed down to the following topics. Crumbling and decaying colonial architecture which is very very slowly starting thankfully to be restored.
Music and Dance, Art,Cigars, Rum, Food, American Classic cars, and Hemingway who is still idolised by the Cuban Society.

The town of Cienfuegos which is located in the southern part of Cuba. It seemed to be a poorer part of the country although the buildings look very ornate and colourful, on closer inspection some of them were badly in need of repair work.

Strangely this pink building was a boys only school. No playground, soccer fields or similar here.
The school uniforms were the same which ever town you went to. They had three different colours to show which level of school it was, Junior, Intermediate, Senior.
