Scotland, England, Amsterdam.

Meanderings in Scotland. We did some beautiful walks in the countryside.

New Castle on Tyne. A beautiful and very interesting city.

Amazing bridges over The Tweed River.

The Brits version of beach sand sunbathing in the central city.

An eye catching decoration on our evening walk back from dinner. I think the city had a festival about to begin the following week.

The Miller and Carter Steakhouse. The best steak we have had in a long time.

Back in London we managed to get tickets for the Tina Turner musical. An excellent show about the life of Tina Turner.

The beautiful upper balcony at the Aldrich Theatre.

The next day we arrived in Amsterdam where we spent many hours at the Botanical Gardens. Especially interesting was the butterfly house.

A blue dragon Fly on the edge of a lily pad.

This Philodendren had long tentacles draping down the main trunk with another long dangling part that curled around and resembled a snake. Very unusual.

These were 'heads' floating above the water at the Gardens but we were not sure of what significance they played, but eye-catching all the same.

The bark of an Oak Cork tree.

Interesting Palm plant that had red new growth.

Vanilla tree with its green pods.

 Rembrandt Square in Amsterdam.

 Plenty of bikes in Amsterdam.
